- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. USSOCOM is interested in sources to provide company and product information on three types of water activated lights to place in MRAP vehicles. The first light should be a small water activated strobe light to place on the carrier of the new HEEDS bottle so operators can find them if submerged and in the dark. Each vehicle will have seven HEEDS bottles and 6 exit locations. Doors front right, front left and rear center; weapons hatch and two roof hatches. This strobe light should have an off switch so when found the strobe can be turned off. The strobe could cause vertigo if not turned off in a confined space. The second light should be larger and a steady state water activated light. These lights will mark the exit locations. The third water activated light is a flash light type, approximately four each, to be used to help those in the vehicle assist others who may need help getting out of their equipment, seats etc. Sources should provide Company information to include CAGE code, as well as item description and specifications, estimated prices and earliest delivery schedule based on an estimated 400 vehicles plus spares for 60 vehicles, and CAGE code. This request for information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. This notice shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. No entitlement to payment will arise as a result of the submission of contractor information. No other program information related to total dollars or total quantity are available.
