- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to the International City/County Management Association, (ICMA.) The purpose of the purchase will include developing a detailed evaluation plan to create a Common Community Measures for Obesity Template that can be used on the. ICMA website for the purpose of collecting community data. This project is a collaborative effort among the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the CDC Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Kellogg Foundation and Kaiser Permanente. The authority for this procurement is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance is for one (1) year and will begin within ten (10) days after award of the purchase order. Anticipated award date is August 20, 2008. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer, within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.
