- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FAR 13.5 procedures will be used. The IRS intends to procure from EMC Corporation or an authorized reseller the following Captiva items:Item 0001: (1) each- InputAccel Server -9,125,000 PPY; Item 0002: (1) each InputAccel Server Add Volume- 1,825,000 PPY; Item 0003:(15) each SCAN MODULE (Level 1-3 only); Item 0004:(1) each InputAccel Universal Clients-5Pack; item 0005: (2) each Prime Recognition (1 CPU 3 OCR Engines); item 0006: (2) each Prime - Output Image as File (p Feature); item 0007: (2) each InputAccel Standard Export Bundle; item 0008: (1) each EMC Documentum Export for InputAccel; item 0009: (2) each EMC Documentum Export for InputAccel; item 0010: (15) each: 1 elnput Client (Concurrent Connection); item 0011: (1) each: 25 pack Bundle of elnput (Concurrent Connections); item 0012: (1) each Annual Maintenance w/Enhanced Support. SHIP TO: IRS, D.I.C, 7940 Kentucky Drive, Stop 834, Florence, Ky. 41042-2915 This is a brand name acquisition, as only the items specified above will meet the Government's requirement. The specified Captiva Enterprise Servers and supporting software are essential for the success of the IRS' ISDM GAT environment in support of the ISDM Pilot deployment and are required to ensure operational compatibility. The solicitation number is: TIRNO08REDC02. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. The NAICS code is 334112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer for the specified items. The provision at 52.212-1, instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. All offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with offer. The clauses at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, and Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (to include: 52.222-21; 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37; 52.225-152.225-13; 52.232-33) applies to this acquisition.
