- Description
- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to Quality Management Resources, Inc., Washington, DC. The purpose of the purchase order will include Hispanic/Latino media outreach services. The media outreach will promote awareness of existing social norms regarding protection against second hand smoke. The CDC, Office of Smoking and Health are promoting the outreach project. The intent of this purchase order is to reach by media Hispanic/Latino communities and address health issues regarding second hand smoke. The authority for this procurement is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance is for one (1) year and will begin upon award of the purchase order. Anticipated award date is August 20, 2008. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer, within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.
