- This announcement is a Market Survey / Request for Information (RFI). This announcement IS NOT A DOWN-SELECT OR QUALIFICATION SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL of any kind. The FAA is soliciting this market survey to determine if qualified vendors are interested in the opportunity to provide operations research, independent engineering, analysis and management skills to support the System Operations Airspace (Sys Ops) Aeronautical Information Management (AIM), Operations Planning Business Planning and Development, and En-route and Oceanic Services located in Washington, DC. The FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred in response to this Market Survey / Request for Information. Any costs associated with Market Survey / Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense. The purpose of this Market Survey / Request for Information is to obtain an understanding of the current marketplace, receive information on available technology and innovative approaches that fulfills agency mission needs, and enhance insight into industry capabilities and best practices. Interested parties are invited to provide a response in the form of a Business Declaration Form and RFI White Paper subject to the following constraints: One response per companyRFI White Paper must be completed following the instructions in Attachment 1All documents must be provided electronically in Microsoft Word, RTF, or Adobe PDF formatsProprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately markedResponses must be received no later than August 15, 2008 at 2:00pm eastern standard time Response packages containing RFI White Paper must be provided electronically via e-mail to the FAA Contracting Officer at katherine.m.williams@faa.gov. One, some, all, or none of the respondents to the Market Survey / Request for Information may be requested to provide additional information at the option of the Government. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise for future business with the FAA. SEE ATTACHMENTS
