Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or HUBZone small businesses that can provide for the fulfillment of a requirement for a Fellowship Program related to Child Development. Through this program, NICHD has provided support for one Fellow to assist in a wide variety of NICHD programs and activities for a one-year fellowship, especially to those components of the Institute involved with child development. This requirement also includes the following services to be performed by the Contractor: 1)Participate in the selection of a series of staff assignments with programs and activities throughout the Institute. 2)Develop and implement a year-long training plan that enables the contractor to gain a wide understanding of, and exposure to, the relevant programs and activities of the NICHD, the NIH and the DHHS. Contractors must be located in a reasonable distance in order to allow for fellows to easily travel to the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 541690 with a size standard of $6.5M. All respondents are requested to identify their firms size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 15 pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement, not to exceed 15 pages, should include references. A copy of the capability statement must be received at the address identified in this synopsis by no later than days prior to close of business (5:00 P.M. local time at designated location) on August 8, 2008. Responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
