- Description
- The work shall be located on MacDill AFB with the construction site at the south east corner of Golf Course Road and Chinook Drive. The total building for all facilities will consist of approximately 18,160 SF of space over two distinct areas of the building; a warehouse area, an office area. The building will include administrative offices, personnel supporting operations and work stations, classroom, training facilities, common areas, electrical, communication, and mechanical areas. The project will also include site improvements for vehicle parking with adequate stand-off distance, sidewalks, landscaping, and storm water retention pond, supporting utilities including gas, sewer, water, underground electrical and communication services. The work will also include the demolition of a single story, family housing building (4 units). The project will be architecturally and structurally compatible with installation facility standards in proposed area. The project includes utilities, parking, road access, site preparation, communications pre-wiring, and incorporates sustainable development requirements. Project includes antiterrorism/force protection requirements identified in DoD unified facilities criteria and all necessary support on with stucco exterior. The performance period is 440 days. This project is restricted to 8(a) firms in Region IV. The proposals will be evaluated using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process with the following rated evaluation criteria Prime Contractor Past Experience and Prime Contractor Past Performance. All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, are equal to cost or price. The estimated cost range of this project is $5 to $10 Million. NAICS code is 236220 and size standard is $33.5M. 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) program must have NAICS code 236220 among their approved NAICS codes. The solicitation should be issued on or about 14 August 2008 and proposals will be due on or about 16 September 2008. The solicitation and any amendments will be available by download only from the FedBizOpps website. Registration on the FedBizOpps website is required in order to download. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project.
