- DESC: NSN 1005-00-726-6131, Part Number 7266131. The item to procure is the Barrel Assembly for the M2.50 Cal Machine Gun. Item consists of: Overall Length 45.000 Inches; Rifle Bore Groove Quantity 8; Groove Width 0.135 Min 0.140 Max. Inside Treatment, Chromium, QQ-C-320 Class 2A, Barrel Rifling. Assembly Includes: Barrel P/N 7161813; Barrel Liner P/N 7312560; Liner Retainer P/N 7312561; Pin P/N 7265157. Heat Treating required with Plating. First Article Test required. Proposed contract is a 60% Small Business Set-Aside and 40% Full and Open Competition for the guaranteed minimum requirement. Multiple awards are anticipated. Subsequent orders, if any, to be competed among all awardees. Solicitation will result in an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with five ordering periods. Guaranteed minimum requirements are 16,000 each, with a potential contract maximum quantity of 55,000 each. FOB to be Origin. Solicitation to utilize two-step process. Step One will require offerors to submit sample items with inspection results. If the offeror receives a Go rating after Government testing and inspection, the offeror will move to Step Two, which is Price competition. Estimated issue date is 20-Aug-2008. The response date listed is an ESTIMATE ONLY. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by one of these two methods when the solicitation has been issued: 1) Click the Order TDP link for this solicitation on TACOM-Rock Islands Solicitation Website at https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/Padds_web/index.html 2) Submission of an email request to: ROCK-TACOM-TDP@CONUS.ARMY.MIL. A TDP will be provided by normal mail. All or a part of this action is an unfunded requirement. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
