- The response date has been changed FROM 08-30-2008 TO 7-30-2008. The United States Army, Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Sam Houston, is seeking sources for a contemplated contract for the Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S). This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as quotes, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Army will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. The MICC at Fort Sam Houston is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Army to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Should a future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated that AMEDDC&S will require a Turn-Key BrightDrive SAN Server System 2 including all hardware, software, installation, and warranty services. This system will be used for high end video editing and compositing (layering) for the most challenging and complex video multimedia productions. For purposes of this RFI, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. The small business size standard is 500. This is a brand name request and any vendor that can provide Turn-Key BrightDrive San Server Professional System 2, hardware, software, installation and warranty services will be considered. If your firm has an interest in proposing on the requirement described above, please provide a Capability Statement to Annette Gremmer, annette.gremmer@us.army.mil. The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your firm's experiences in contracts requiring similar efforts to meet the program objectives. Responses are due by COB 30 July 2008.
