- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Eastern Region, Office of Acquisitions and Grants, has a requirement for construction services regarding an upgrade of the Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) and Air Conditioning Unit and to furnish and install a natural gas generator and 600 amp transfer switch. The work is to be performed at the Wisconsin Water Science Center located in Middleton, Wisconsin. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the construction work. This is a requirement under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code is 238220 "Construction/Other Utilities". The magnitude of the requirement ranges between $100,000 and $250,000. All work is expected to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Prospective offerors are highly encouraged to schedule a site visit by contacting Bob Bodoh via email at (rbbodoh@usgs.gov) or phone 608-821-3805. Site visits may be scheduled beginning August 14, 2008 through August 22, 2008. Solicitation Number 08ERSS0016 will be issued on or about Wednesday, August 13, 2008 with proposals due on Friday September 12, 2008, 4:00PM EST, documents can be found at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Contact NBC Electronic Commerce Help Desk at 703-390-6633 with problems accessing information from the NBC website. All responsible sources who have a valid Dunn and Bradstreet Number may submit a proposal with a quotation which shall be considered by the USGS. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the NBC posting system at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the NBC website for any solicitation amendments.
