- The Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Support Services (MiDAESS) Program consists of a number of separate procurements for contractor support services. The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) continues to refine the acquisition strategy for the MiDAESS effort and finalize the specific details of the solicitations for each functional area. As noted in the Executive Summary to the January 2008 Draft RFP, the MDA was aware of inconsistencies in the acquisition strategy as many of the industry questions submitted following release confirmed. The MDA intends to release another Draft RFP in the fall of this year that will provide the final MiDAESS acquisition strategy and additional details on the specific functional efforts. In addition, another industry day or other similar forum is projected after release of the Draft RFP. More details will be provided later on this topic through the FedBizOpps website. The information received to date from industry has been of great value to the Agency in improving the overall strategy and achieving program success. The Agency also appreciates the continued interest in and support of this important initiative. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
