- Description
- The Social Security Administration, Region II, seeks a contractor to replace the current hot water and glycol pumps and motors with new hot water and glycol pumps and motors at the Joseph P. Addabbo Federal Building in Jamaica, Queens, NY. The building occupies eleven floors plus two sub-floors, measures approximately 950,000 square feet, with approximately 1,500 occupants. A summary of the work to be performed is as follows: The installation of hot water and glycol pumps and motors must meet all local, state, and federal plumbing codes. The contractor shall remove 3 existing hot water pumps and motors. These pumps have a Max Work Pressure of 175, 1,750 RPM, 340 GPM, Head of 80’, and a 15 Horsepower motor. The contractor shall furnish and install 3 hot water pumps and motors with appropriate specifications that result in at least 20% more pumping capability. The contractor shall remove 2 existing glycol pumps and motors. These pumps have a Max Work Pressure of 175, 3,500 RPM, 380 GPM, Head of 115’, and a 15 Horsepower motor. The contractor shall furnish and install 2 glycol pumps and motors with appropriate specifications that result in at least 20% more pumping capability. The Request for Quotation containing all provisions is expected to be issued on approximately July 31, 2008 and may be downloaded at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Prospective quoters will be afforded a site visit, the date for which will be contained in the solicitation. This is a total small business set aside, conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS code is 333911with a size standard of 500 employees.
