Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement for the one time buy of spare parts for a Teradyne "TestStation 8X". This tester is used in the repair of National Airspace Systems (NAS) circuit card assemblies. Teradyne is the sole manufacturer of the Teradyne TS8X test system. It is understood that no other brand of spare parts will work with the existing Teradyne TS8X and it would be cost prohibitive to redesign the system to work with other brands. Teradyne parts are the only parts capable of effectively meeting FAA requirements to minimize project risk, reduce costs, and reduce project completion timelines. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals. Any type of response to this market survey must be addressed to: FAA, NAS Contracting Team (AMQ-210), 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73125 (ATTN: Kelly Tillery). Responses must be received, no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, Friday, 11 August 2008. Hand-carried responses (or responses sent by overnight delivery) shall be delivered to Room 313 of the Multi-Purpose Building located at 6500 South MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73169. Responses must be sealed and labeled as follows: Kelly Tillery, Market Survey No. DTFAAC-07-R-00441; due 2:00 p.m. CST, Monday, 11 August 2008. Responses must include name and telephone number of a point of contact. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169."
