- The Birmingham VA Medical Center has a requirement to conduct radiation safety checks on the facility's X-ray equipment. These checks must be performed within 7 days of the last check. The successful offeror must be able to begin work on 1 Oct 2008 in order to meet the inspection schedule. The vendor will also be required to review two (2) Radiology Manuals and review Dexa and Nuclear Medicine Ct protocols for radiation safety. There are approximately 36 tubes to be checked in various types of X-ray equipment.
