- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-026. The applicable NAICS number is 332321 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This is an unrestricted procurement since it is believed that no small company exists that can provide this system. The FOB Destination delivery is to: North Bend, OR, on or before: September 30, 2008. Information is due at 2000 Connecticut Ave., North Bend, OR 97459, by 2:00 P.M., Pacific Time on August 8, 2008. US Coast Guard Group-Air Station North Bend, OR intends to issue a sole source award to Miller Edge, Inc. for the following items: A hangar door edge safety system that is pressure sensitive to prevent damage to aircraft and injury to personnel. Specific parts: 4 Wire Electric Sensing Edge, P/N: MU46Y-2TT-16, QTY: (2) EA; 4 Wire Electric Sensing Edge, P/N: MU46Y-2TT-05, QTY: (2) EA; 4 Pin Micro Connector, QTY: (4) EA. Coast Guard personnel will perform the installation services. Consistent with FAR 6.302-1, the Coast Guard believes that Miller Edge, Inc. is the only qualified source to provide this system. Other interested vendors are invited to provide information to the Contracting Officer demonstrating the qualifications of their proposed products. The evaluation criteria will be: best value based on price, quality, compatibility with existing building systems, and delivery. FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Commercial Items (Feb 2008).
