- Description
- The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. This design-build project consists of renovations and repairs to existing electrical and utility lines as well as new main sewer lines, lateral sewer lines, individual building service lines, primary and secondary electric service, gas lines and meters, fire protection lines including valves and hydrants, and including making connections to existing buildings and new building systems for approximately one hundred and twenty three (123) buildings located at North Fort Polk, Louisiana. All utility work is outside the five (5) foot building line. Contractor shall coordinate work required outside the five (5) foot line for these other projects with the other project(s) contractors as required to provide complete and usable facilities. This includes water, sewer, gas, electric and fire protection service, sizing, locations and connections. Key design elements including dimensioned utility plans and major system sizes will be shown on the provided RFP plans and further described in the specifications. The contractor shall further develop and fully verify these requirements in the development of Plans and Specifications. NAICS Code is 237110. Small Business Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Estimated Construction Cost Range is $5,000.000.00 to $10, 000,000.00. Geographic restrictions of this requirement: Competition will be limited to 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) Program who are serviced by the Louisiana District Office and other construction firms with a SBA approved bona fide place of business in Louisiana which have the above assigned NAICS Code among those approved for 8(a) participation. W9126G-08-R-0226 will be issued on or about August 12, 2008, with proposals due on or about September 12, 2008 (unless otherwise stated in the solicitation). This contract will be based on best value to the Government, which may or may not result in accepting the lowest priced offer. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a hard paper copy. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only at the following address: www.fbo.gov. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check www.fbo.gov daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. All technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunity website at https://www.fbo.gov.
