- Question & Answer: Question: Can you please provide additional clarification on what is the DoD inventory management process and what is meant by DoD pricing agreements? Answer: The inventory management process varies between facilities, however, all DoD pharmacies utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) automated information system to interface with Prime Vendors for ordering of pharmacy supplies. Prior to ordering supplies, this system allows the pharmacy personnel to group equivalent or similar pharmaceutical products and perform unit of measure price comparisons.
