- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, intends to award an anticipated sole source procurement contract to Southwest Communications, 325 Mockingbird Lane, Lewisville, TX. 75077, for procurement of items, and installation, for the upgrade and replacement of the existing Police Dispatch Control Room Camera Security System, tube type, located at the DVA Medical Center, Dallas, TX. The Product numbers, which are manufactured by Panasonic, are: TH-37PH9UK, 10 each, TY-WK37PV3, 9 each, WV-LD1500, 5 each, TYCE42PS7, 1 each. Installation includes software upgrades and connection to the existing Main Camera Matrix Switcher. This procurement will be processed under simplified acquisition procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. NAICS Code is 561621, $12.5M. The solicitation issue date will be on or about July 29, 2008, with the bid opening date on or about August 11, 2008, and will be issued in commercial item format. No telephone requests will be accepted and no written documents will be available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
