- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intend to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Karl Storz Endoscope, Goleta, CA for a field-compatible endoscope. The specific performance specifications will meet or exceed those set forth below: *Portable Sturgeon Endoscope: TELE PACK Portable Unit (Only, Camera Head/Adapter sold separately) featuring 24W Hi-Lux Light Source, integrated keyboard, 12 inches LCD Monitor, Image Processing Module and 64MB PCMCIA Memory Card *Head Only, for VVCIII *38mm Adapter * HOPKINS Rigid Telescope, 2.7mm x 18cm Working Length, 30 degree, Autoclavable, slightly improved optics * Operating Sheath for 64018BSA telescope, 14.5 Fr OD, Accepts 5 Fr Flexible Instruments, inc. obturator 67065CO * Biopsy Forceps, Flexible, Oval Jaws, 5 Fr x 34cm * Light Guide Cable, Fiber optic, 3.5 mm x 230 cm (Recommended for Otoscopy, MPR, Arthroscopy) *Larger Sturgeon: HOPKINS Rigid Telescope, 4.0mm x 30cm Working Length, 30 degree, Autoclavable * Cystoscopy Sheath w/ Obturator for 63005BA telescope, 20 Fr Outer Diameter, Accepts 7 Fr Flexible Instruments * Bridge with single instrument port for 63005BA cystoscope * Biopsy Forceps, Flexible, 7 Fr x 40cm * Plastic Container for Sterilizing and Storage, perforated, with transparent lid, with silicone mat, internal dimensions (w x d x h): 503mm x 229mm x 46mm. For Large Dog Cystoscopy * Extended length, stainless steel cannula This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Karl Storz Imaging Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Governments requirement. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 CST, NLT August 5, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
