- This U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is requesting quotes for a web-based, hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP), secure sockets layer (SSL) hardware application solution that enables sending and receiving files securely. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number for this requirement is SECHQ1-08-Q-8275 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is a Total Small Business set aside. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334119 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The place of delivery and performance for this requirement is the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Operation Center in Alexandria, VA 22312. See attachments to this notice for complete specifications, applicable clauses, and instructions for preparing quotes. Attachments: Statement of Work, Contract Clauses, and Instructions to Offerors. All questions regarding this announcement must be submitted electronically to Jeremy Garrett at garrettj@sec.gov by no later than 5:00 Eastern Time on August 6, 2008. Technical and price quotes must be submitted to Jeremy Garrett at garrettj@sec.gov by no later than 5:00 Eastern Time on August 15, 2008. The government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The evaluation criterion for this RFQ is specified in clause FAR 52.212-2 of the Applicable Contract Clauses attachment.
