- Sole Source Intent. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with ITT Corporation, Advanced Engineering & Services, 5009 Centennial Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. The requirement is for an Advanced Remote Control System (ARCS). The system needs to be upgraded to new technology within the end-users autonomous remote controlled target capability to state of the art controllers and actuators. Building a new state of the art control system that will utilize current hardware, as well as, operate new types of hardware (Smart motors, linear actuators) simultaneously. ITT must execute this upgrade, since they have propriety rights to the system. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334290 with a standard size of 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet these requirements by 04 August 2008, 8:00AM MST to facsimile (928) 328-6849.
