- Tonasket Ranger District, Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests, Two Precast Single Vault Toilets. The Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest located in Central Northern Washington State has a requirement for two precast single vault toilets. This contract is a hybrid contract; it has both supply and construction clauses. Supplying the toilets is considered a supply item and the minor construction activities is considered a construction contract. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The Contractor shall furnish and install (including excavation) two single-unit, precast vault toilets. The installation includes furnishing and installing crushed aggregate bedding for the vault foundation and gravel path construction. These project sites do not require the clearing of trees, individual tree removal nor removal or disposal of existing toilets. The project is located in two sites on the Tonasket Ranger District, Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests. The locations are as follows: Mt. Bonaparte trailhead is located in Section 35, T39N, R29E, WM approximately 21 miles northeast of Tonasket, Washington. Access the Mt. Bonaparte trailhead site from Tonasket by traveling east on Okanogan County Road 9467 approximately 16 miles on a double-lane asphalt paved road to Havillah. At Havillah, turn right on Forest Service Road 33 and travel 5 miles east on a single lane gravel road to the project site which is an inactive gravel pit. The Upper Aeneas Site is located in is located in Section 12, T35N, R29E, WM approximately 24 miles east of Tonasket, Washington. Access the Upper Aeneas dispersed camping site from Tonasket by traveling east on State Highway 20 approximately 13 miles to the junction of Okanogan County road 9455. Turn right on OCR 9455 Aeneas Valley road and travel approximately 9 miles on a double-lane asphalt paved road to the junction of Forest Service Road 30. Turn right on FSR 30, a single land gravel road and travel 4 miles to the project site near a creek crossing. Work is estimated to begin on August 30, 2008 (issuance of notice to proceed to fabricate building at plant) with a 120 calendar day completion time. Adjustments in contract time will be allowed for winter weather delays if the sites become inaccessible due to snow before November 30, 2008. A payment bond may be requred. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about July 29 2008. Quotes are estimated to be due August 12, 2008. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. This procurment is 100% set aside for small businesses. NAICS code for the minor construction activities is 238120 and the NAICS code for supplying the toilets is 327390. The majority of the contract is under NAICS 327390. A payment bond may be required. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
