Description
THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT REGISTER FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AT THIS TIME. THERE IS A DRAFT SOLICITATION AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW ON OUR WEBSITE (see instructions below). The Government may consider comments and inquiries while preparing the final plans and specs; however, the Government is not seeking comments and may not provide responses to inquiries. A solicitation will be issued on or about the end of FY08 with proposals due on or about the first part of FY09. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: the work limits will fall within the land owned and/or controlled by the SFWMD. In general, the PSRP work limits are bound by I-75 to the north, Prairie Canal/Basil Road to the east, Tamiami Trail to the south and Miller Road to the west. The Merritt Canal Pump Station will be constructed adjacent to the Merritt Canal near 54th Avenue SE. It will have 2-75 cfs pumps and 4-220 cfs pumps, for a firm capacity of 810 cfs and 6 bays. The work includes the installation of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, and miscellaneous civil works. Construction of the station will include, excavation, station substructure, backfill, fully enclosed buildings for the equipment, access bridges, fuel storage areas with containment and all associated equipment, sanitary facility, approach and discharge canals, retaining walls, trash racks, and related civil works. The Work will also include, the pumping stations approach and discharge canals as well as earthwork associated with canal plugging and removal and degrading of approximately 143 miles of roads, 35 miles of trail roads, and 21 miles of log tram. The work is in southwestern Collier County. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on technical, past performance and price. THE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL CARRY A DIFFERENT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER AND REGISTRATION WILL BE REQUIRED AT THAT TIME. You must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
