- The USPS Office of Inspector General is soliciting proposals for an Office Build Out, located at the Dallas, TX - Richland Station, 9130 Markville Drive, Dallas, TX. Packages can be received by contacting Jaime Sawyer, BRW Architects, Inc, (214) 528-8704 at a cost of $50 per package, checks payable to USPS OIG. Packages will be available August 1, 2008. A Pre Proposal Conference has been scheduled for August 14, 2008 @ 11am CST at the facility. COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT IS 180 CALENDAR DAYS FROM THE DATE OF NOTICE TO PROCEED. THE CONSTRUCTION COST RANGE IS $1,190,000 TO $1,330,000. Scope of work will include approximately 10,800 SF of renovations to convert a portion of the second floor of an existing 53,400 SF USPS facility to new office space and LAN room. This will include the addition of an interior passenger elevator. Existing facility will stay in operation during construction and USPS operations cannot be hindered. Demolition includes a limited area of CMU bearing walls and exterior stucco/stud walls, interior partitions, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems and asbestos abatement. New construction and/or renovation includes limited site work, elevator and hoistway, metal stud and gypsum board interior walls, custom millwork, solid core wood doors, with hollow metal frames, exterior and interior windows, interior finishes VCT, carpet, paint, ceramic tile, appliances and sorting system. New system will include HVAC package rooftop units, computer room HVAC unit, plumbing fixtures and systems, limited access control system, light fixtures and electrical and structured wiring system.
