- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a sole source award to RJE International, Inc., 15375 Barrance Pkwy, Ste B-107, Irvine, CA 92618 for 32 ea underwater location beacons Part number ULB340/37-TD10. RJE International is the OEM. 10 hour delay underwater location beacons specifically match the requirements in the AN/AQS-24A System. No other commercial units fit the form fit and function required for the AN/AQS-24A system underwater location beacon. Other commercial units would require an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). It is not cost effective to modify the existing AN/AQS-24A system at this time. SOLE SOURCE NOTICE (if RFQ is sole source, provide justification) This material will be used with existing hardware which has already been through operational and technical evaluation. Using alternate equipment would prove costly to the government and to the mission.
