- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to replace the roof, to include gutters, downspouts and trim on a pre-fabricated metal building and to replace the gutters on a wooden building located within the Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repair Shops (PEWARS) maintenance facility, Neville Island PA. PEWARS supports maintenance and repair of Pittsburgh District navigation projects and flood damage reduction projects. The facility is comprised of multiple buildings that serve as warehousing and repair facilities for the Pittsburgh District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Building C-201 is a pre-engineered metal structure provided by Star Building Systems and was erected in October 1982 and serves as a warehouse. Building N-104 is a post World War II timber building built in 1942 and serves as a repair and fabrication shop. The roofing, gutters and downspouts on Building C-201 and the gutters on Building N-104 have significant corrosion and require replacement of these features. The successful quoter shall provide all necessary engineering services,transportation, supervision, plant, equipment, labor and materials necessary to replace these building components. All quoters are required to have at least 5 years experience in installing pre-engineered buildings and roofing components to be qualified technically for this work. The magnitude of construction is under $100,000.00.
