- Contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, materials, and any incidentals necessary to thin and pile of woody growth within the perimeter of the described tracts as specified in the solicitation. Locations of tracts are in Dewey and Blaine Counties, Oklahoma. A mandatory site visit for all potential contractors is scheduled on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Concho Agency Fire Management Office, 1409 East Main, Weatherford, OK 73096. Interested parties may request a solicitation packet on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, by writing the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Regional Office, Branch of Contracts, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005, or by faxing (405) 247-9922. Due date for receipt of proposals is Friday, August 29, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. (CST), in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, 1 Mile North of City, Hwy 281, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to receiving any contracts from the Federal Government. Please visit http://www.ccr.gov to register.
