- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service, Conservation Biology Division located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for a contractor to perform the following tasks: 1.Sample Steelhead entering the Columbia River Basin at Bonneville Dam for age, origin and condition, reducing data sufficiently to develop basin-wide run descriptors. 2.Take tissue samples from Steelhead entering the Columbia River Basin at Bonneville Dam for future basin-wide genetic monitoring projects. The primary objective of this project is the development of a rule set to guide the implementation of large-scale monitoring and evaluation programs across the Columbia River basin. See attached statement of work for a complete description of services. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order will be issued with period of performance that will start from date of award through Sept 30, 2010.
