THIS IS ONLY THE ADVANCED NOTICE. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED AFTER 08/08/2008 FOR THE REQUIRED LAB WORK GENERALLY DESCRIBED BELOW. NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This will be a small business set aside. NAICS Code: 541380Size Standard: $11.0 Million The resulting contract will be for analysis of water samples from streams and rivers in Alaska. Quantity is approx: 38. The following parameters will be measured and reported, with required minimum detection levels in parentheses as applicable: alkalinity (0.2 mg/L), conductivity, pH, sodium (0.01 mg/L), potassium (0.03 mg/L), calcium (0.06 mg/L), magnesium (0.001 mg/L), chloride (0.02 mg/L), sulfate (0.01 mg/L), total nitrogen (.01 mg/L), nitrate-N as nitrate + nitrite (0.001 mg/L), ammonia-N (0.01 mg/L), silica (0.20 mg/L), ortho-phosphate (0.001 mg/L), total phosphorous (0.001 mg/L), dissolved organic carbon (0.1 mg/L), ion balance. QA/QC procedures shall be consistent with EPA standards. The solicitation shall have base year plus four option years to test approximately 38 samples each year. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination to Fairbanks, AK. ALL VENDORS WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AN AWARD BEING MADE.
