- This announcement will be issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract with a period of performance of one hundred twenty (120) days after contract award. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2008-0605. This acquisition is to be set aside and awarded to a small business (SB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423850. The SB size standard for this code is 500 employees. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: NON-PERSONAL Services: The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, equipment, transportation, personnel, supervision, and all other items necessary to perform all operations in connection with the conversion of the dry chemical kitchen fire suppression systems to wet chemical kitchen equipment fire protection systems that are compliant with the UL 300 standard. Contractor shall also perform required upgrades to existing wet chemical systems to ensure UL 300 compliance. The systems to be replaced are located in buildings 118, 1286, 1465, 2041, 2901, 3220, 4550, 6476, 7025, 7532, 9310, 9410, 10175, 10416, and 10810 on Lackland AFB, TX. The successful contractor will be selected using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable procedures, resulting in the best value to the government. The solicitation and performance work statement (PWS) must be downloaded from www.fbo.gov as no paper copies will be issued. The solicitation and Performance Work Statement can be downloaded after 4 Aug 08, using the commercial format FAR Part 12. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. Interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004 and have their Representations and Certifications on record through Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov. OTHER DETAILS: The solicitation, which will include a site visit to be held on 11 Aug 08, and other attachments will be posted on or before 4 Aug 2008 and MUST BE downloaded from Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) at www.eps.gov. DO NOT REQUEST VIA MAIL OR FAX. No paper copies will be issued. IMPORTANT NOTICES: 1) RFQ submission must be in accordance with solicitation; 2) Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. (Ref.
