Description
***ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE Electronically in Federal Business Opportunities August 13, 2008. *** Project consists of Contractor removing and legally disposing of existing walkways, CXT brand toilets and vaults. Contractor shall prepare the sites for new concrete vaults and CXT brand toilet buildings. Contractor shall perform site work, including clearing and grubbing, excavation and backfill for the new buildings, and all incidental work required to install the buildings according to applicable laws, codes, and regulations, as well as Project Specifications. The Contractor shall place geotextile according to the specifications. The Government will provide the new vaults and toilet buildings. CXT Incorporated will deliver and place the toilets at the project sites and the Contractor shall coordinate delivery details with CXT. Contractor shall be responsible for placing the vaults and buildings in the new location. Contractor shall provide backfill, compaction and finish grading for the site. Contractor shall construct ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant concrete walkways at the sites. Contractor shall locate the existing water line, tee off it with a 1” waterline and install a new water spigot as shown on The Drawings Specifications. Project is on the Siuslaw National Forest, Central Coast and Hebo Ranger Districts, Tillamook, Lincoln, and Benton Counties, Oregon. The project sites can be located as follows: South Jetty Parking Lot #1, #2, #3 and #7 From I-5 take Exit 195B. Merge onto Beltline Hwy west. Continue for 8.2 miles, turn slight right onto Beltline Rd. Follow for 1.1 miles, turn right onto W 11th Ave/OR-126. Continue on OR-126 for 41.2 miles, turn left onto OR-126/ Florence-Eugene Hwy. Follow OR-126 14.1 miles, turn left onto US-101. Drive approximately 3 miles; South Jetty Recreation Area will be on the West side of Highway 101. Follow the signs to the different parking areas. Siltcoos Beach Day Use From I-5 take Exit 195B. Merge onto Beltline Hwy west. Continue for 8.2 miles, turn slight right onto Beltline Rd. Follow for 1.1 miles, turn right onto W 11th Ave/OR-126. Continue on OR-126 for 41.2 miles, turn left onto OR-126/ Florence-Eugene Hwy. Follow OR-126 14.1 miles, turn left onto US-101. Drive approximately 10 miles; Siltcoos Beach will be on the West side of Highway 101. Take a right and drive approximately 1.5 miles and you will see the Silcoos Beach sign and take a left and the toilet is on the left side of the parking lot. Spinreel Campground From I-5 take Exit 195B. Merge onto Beltline Hwy west. Continue for 8.2 miles, turn slight right onto Beltline Rd. Follow for 1.1 miles, turn right onto W 11th Ave/OR-126. Continue on OR-126 for 41.2 miles, turn left onto OR-126/ Florence-Eugene Hwy. Follow OR-126 14.1 miles, turn left onto US-101. Drive approximately 34 miles, turn right onto Spinreel Road. Drive approximately 0.3 miles and take a left. Drive for 0.2 miles and take a left. Drive approximately 1.5 miles and take a left. You will see the existing toilet at the end of the parking lot. Mary’s Peak Campground From I-5 take Highway 34 west towards Corvallis for approximately 12 miles. Turn left to follow Highway 34 west through Philomath for 10 miles; then turn north from Highway 34 onto Marys Peak Road. Follow Forest Service Road 3010 for 9.3 miles. You will reach Mary's Peak campground on the right side. Sand Lake From I-5 North in Portland, take Hwy 26 west. Take Hwy 6 at the junction of Hwy 6 and Hwy 26. Drive 53 miles on Hwy 6 into Tillamook and take 101 S. Stay on 101 South approximately 11 miles to the Sand Lake Recreation Area turn (a right turn) which is clearly signed with large brown signs with white lettering. Stay on that road (Sand Lake Road) to the Sand Lake Recreation Area. Just as you are about to enter the Recreation Area, you will see a street sign for Derrick Road on your right. Take that road down to the Disperse Campground and you will see on the left side the existing CXT toilets. Government’s estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. This contract is NOT set-aside for small business pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Act. Contract performance time is 90 calendar days.
