PLEASE NOTE: There is a MANDATORY Site Visit scheduled for this project on August 19, 2008. To attend, see the instructions in the attached RFO in Section B, clause B005. OFFERS ARE DUE not-later-than August 28, 2008. See the RFO Section L for details on how to submit an offer. To obtain an electronic copy see the instruction in the RFO Section C, clause C002. A TIERED EVALUATION of offers will be used in the source selection for this contract, and offers from other-than small business concerns will only be considered after the determination that an insufficient number of offers from responsible small business concerns were received. Once offers are received the FAA will evaluate a single tier of offers according to a specified order of precedence. If no award can be made at the first tier, the evaluation will proceed to the next higher lettered tier until award can be made. The tiered order of precedence for considering offers is (from first to last): a)Socially and economically disadvantaged business (SEDB) expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program.b)Service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB).c)Very small business.d)Small business.e)Other-than small business. PLANNED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE is approximately September 11 to November 22, 2008, with construction beginning on approximately September 23, 2008. DAVIS BACON ACT wage rates apply. ESTIMATED VALUE: Between $50,000 and $100,000. NAICS CODE for this project is 236220. SUMMARY: SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, services and materials that is required or necessary to perform the work according to the contract, attached specifications, site visit instructions, and the following site specific requirements.Project scope summary: Refurbish the basement breakroom as shown on the project drawings and as specified during the mandatory job walk. The work includes, but is not limited to: Remove existing counter, cabinets, cupboards, accoustical ceiling, walls, carpet, door etc. Build new metal stud walls with 5/8" gypsum board and textured finished. Install 2 new door frames and doors. Build and install in-wall bookcase in reading area. Install LCD Television bracket on wall. Build and install theater seating platform. Build and install cabinets, granite countertop and cupboards shown on project drawing. Install sink and faucet and associated hardware. Install new vinyl composite tile (VCT) and carpet. Paint walls.
