- Description
- The General Patch Bridge has failed and needs to be removed. The bridge piers are severely rotten and should not be used for stability during the removal of the bridge. The work consists of tearing down the existing superstructure, the entire substructure, approach fills, restoring the flood plain, constructing fish structures, obliterating roads and constructing berms. Performance Time: This project is under a strict time frame. The work is to be done during October 1, 2008 to November 30th, 2008, while the in water work period is October 1st, 2008 – November 1st, 2008. Location of Project: The project is on the Deschutes National Forest and is located approximately 30 miles south of Bend on county road 42. Head south on HWY 97 from Bend, turn right on South Century Drive, continuing driving on South Century Drive (SCD). At the junction of CR-40 and SCD turn left on SCD, continue on SCD until the intersection of Huntington Rd. and SCD, turn right on SCD (CR-42). Follow South Century drive for approximately 2 miles until FS-RD 4200205. Turn right on FS-RD 4200205, and drive to the end of the road which is the beginning of the project location. The project may be located through the Big River Campground, and Bonanza rd. The legal location for the project is T20S-R10E-SEC26. Costs: The governments cost is estimated between $50,000 - $100,000. The solicitation is estimated to be uploaded/issued in FEDBIZOPS on August 13, 2008 with quotes due 4:30 pm, September 2, 2008.
