- The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) located in Anniston, Alabama has a requirement to tear off and remove existing roof system and install new fully adhered Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) roofing system. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to complete the project. Contractor shall be licensed in the state of Alabama. Contract must have a minimum of five (5) years of significant experience. The work includes: • Tear off and remove existing roof system. • Install new, fully adhered TPO roofing system A pre-proposal conference will not be held. A formal site visit is not anticipated. The proposed procurement is a 100% small business set aside under NAICS 238160 with a corresponding small business size standard of $13.0 Mil. This procurement will be solicited in accordance with Sealed Bidding of FAR Part 14. The IFB will be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities web site, https://fbo.gov, on or about August 15, 2008; bids will be due September 5, 2008. Contract award date is anticipated to be on or about September 11, 2008 and work to begin approximately September 15, 2008. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract. Magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Parties interested in the solicitation should access the Federal Business Opportunities web site (https://fbo.gov) for issuance of the solicitation, associated documents and solicitation amendments; contractors will not be directly notified of solicitation amendments. The IFB can only be obtained by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities web site (https://fbo.gov). All interested parties will be responsible for downloading the IFB and for monitoring the web site for possible amendments and/or additional information. All Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to any subsequent award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. Failure to be actively registered in CCR will result in disqualification for contract award.
