- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office is soliciting for offers for the following project: The Skunk Creek Timber Thinning Project. The project is located in Gunnison County near the Skunk Creek drainage about 30 miles southwest of Gunnison, Colorado and 8 miles southwest of Powderhorn, Colorado. The purpose of the contract is to reduce tree densities in ponderosa pine/Douglas-fir forest types on approximately 200 acres. The thinning would remove trees throughout all diameter classes based on spacing guidelines. Felled conifer trees that meet minimum merchantibility specifications will be skidded to decks where the public can access them for firewood or they may be purchased by the contractor from BLM on completion of this contract. Performance period will be 12 months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A prebid site tour is offered August 18, 2008 at 8:30 am. Participants are to meet at the Gunnison BLM office, 216 N Colorado Street, Gunnison, CO 81230. This project is set aside for small businesses and will be completed as a performance-based service contract. Interested parties can access the solicitation on our web site: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The successful offeror will be required to register in CCR.GOV in order to receive the contract award.
