Description
Description: The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source buy with Hocoma Incorporated, of Rockland, MA. for a Lokomat Pro, Robotic Gait Orthosis, in connection with mission objectives of the VA Spinal Cord Injury Department. To the best of our knowledge Hocoma Incorporated is the only manufacturer of a system that provides an automated gait orthosis on a treadmill, whereas walking activity can be monitored, providing visualized performance feedback, and gait patterns and guidance force are individually adjustable to the patient's needs This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334510. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements aforementioned, then firms must furnish detailed information about its products and or services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and or services. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer within (8) calendar days from the date of this synopsis publication. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, to include FDA approval/compliance certification. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Hocoma Incorporated.
