- Department of Veterans Affairs Network 21 Consolidated Contracting will be issuing a Request for Proposal for construction services to construct a Teleradiology Center (Project 640-393) and perform HVAC Energy Improvements (Project 640A0-08-242M) at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Menlo Park Division located at 795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025. This solicitation is a total 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set Aside (SDVOSB). Offers will only be accepted from SDVOSB's. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about July 24, 2008. Offerors will be required to submit both a technical and pricing proposal. Solicitation will contain proposal instructions. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference and Project Site Visit will be held on August 12, 2008, at the Menlo Park facility from 1:30pm - 3:30pm in Building 334, Second Floor, Room E-207. This conference is mandatory; offers will only be accepted from contractors attending the conference. Teleradiology Project Description includes remodel of an existing auditorium in the 2nd floor of Building 334 and the adjacent offices to construct a new Teleradiology Center of approximately 19,000 SF at the Palo Alto Health Care System, Menlo Park Division. Teleradiology Center is the first site and home base for a national system of VA Teleradiology centers that will provide remote interpretation of radiology studies for Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center's throughout the country. HVAC Project Description includes installation of HVAC equipment on roof, ducting, piping, terminal boxes, thermostats and other miscellaneous items in the new Teleradiology Center and other adjacent areas. Estimated project cost is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Questions regarding the solicitation must be sent in writing to joseph.mulstay@va.gov.
