- It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract for the procurement of design and fabrication of an expansion of an existing fire and aviation flight simulator that will include an immersion training cubicle and free standing dome. Both products will use specifically designed hardware, software and some propietary software and licenses. The agency proposed vendor is Screen Solutions Int. This procurement synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The proposed contract action is for: 1) A free standing 76” (minimum size) dome shaped screen/display surface, with multiple projectors capable of extremely high resolution (five million unique pixels per display) and adavanced warping hardware/software. The quality level must ensure close proximity viewing and be free from projection blending lines and allow projection in full lights as well as for bends in the screens. 2) An immersive cubicle incorporating a 48” x 120” (minimum) curved display surface, multiple projectors, mounting hardware, structure and framework including glass walls and cabling. The cubicle shall be free standing, expandable and portable. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
