- This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) number W912C3-08-B-0004 for a Firm Fixed Price Construction project titled: Repairs of the Cabaa Softball Field, Facility No. 155, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. The work consists of the improvements to the existing playing field and storm drainage system, both surface and underground. The contractor will be responsible for verifying final dimensions at the job site during a pre-award site visit. The work consists of the following: (a) Partial demolition of concrete headwalls dissipaters, existing 18 diameter concrete pipes, and concrete inlet (b) Excavation, backfill, turf removal & disposal, compaction, and disposition of surplus material (c) provide topsoil fill, hydro seeded grass, and maintenance (d) installation of pre-cast in place concrete storm sewer manholes (e) construction of cast in place concrete manholes (f) construction of new storm sewer inlet and concrete headwall (g) installation of new 18 diameter PVC storm sewer pipelines (h) installation of a new underground drainage system for the infield playing area. The project is Set Aside for Small Businesses in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands only. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is Z291. The Standard Classification (SIC) is 1799. The North American Industry Classification System is 238990 and the associated business size is $13 million. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Vendors must be actively registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR website is: www.ccr.gov. The IFB package will be available at http://www.buchanan.army.mil and at https://www.fbo.gov on or about 1 August 2008.
