Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 333312. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This procurement is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), and the reference number is VA-257-08-RQ-0200. Contractor shall provide the following equipment: Replacement of existing Braun-Passat Extraction Press with a new press compatible with the Braun 13 Batch Tunnel Washer, Mod 100BTW-13, Serial Number BTW11015B98041. The Extractor shall meet or exceed the following features: (a)Batch size must be 100 to 110 pounds (b)Extraction pressures must be up to 40 bar (c)High capacity water recovery tanks with minimum of 80 gallon capacity (d)Should be constructed of stainless steel or other metals that resist corrosion (e)Must be able to receive batch transfers from the Braun tunnel washer (f)Extractor must meet textile industry standards for moisture retention (g)Vendor shall provide a minimum of (2) examples of their ability to interconnect their extractors with the Braun tunnel washer. OFFERORS ARE TO INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISIONS AT 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS COMMERCIAL ITEMS WITH OFFER. The following FAR clauses and provisions are applicable to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Item, the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) Technically acceptable, 2) Past performance, and 3) Price. Technically acceptable and past performance are more important factors than price. Technically acceptable will be evaluated based on the function and operation of items, ability to interconnect to existing products, and manufacturers warranty. To be technically acceptable the item shall meet or exceed the Government's specifications. Offerors shall submit descriptive literature, technical features, and warranty provisions. 52.212-3 -- Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercials Items; The following FAR clauses identified at paragraph b of 52.212-5 are considered checked and are applicable to this acquisition: section (b) (1), (7), (17), (19), (21), (24i), (29i), (37), 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration; 52.211-6, F.O.B. - Destination, 52.219-1 Small Business Program Representations,52.222-41 Clauses VAAR clauses; 852.211-70 Requirements for Operating and Maintenance Manuals, 852.203-70 Commercial Advertising.
