- The Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, WV is seeking a qualified group or individual capable of providing the service of a Hotriculture Instructor to the female inmate population. The contractor shall develop and implement a plant life agricultural education program including greenhouse skills, tree/shrubbery nursery skills and exploratory training in the field of agricultural technology as standard in the commercial field of horticulture studies. The Government intends to award the contract for a Base period with its unilateral right to exercise four (4) Option Years. The contractor shall provide 30 (1 hour ) sessions per week for an estimated total of 1560 sessions per year. “The solicitation will be available on or after July 23, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.” “Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.” All qualified sources are encouraged to submit an offer which will be considered for award.
