- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SPECIFICATIONS: The Utah National Guard has a requirement for lodging and meeting space located in the Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah area, August 22-24, 2008 as follows: Lodging: -(2) Nights -Friday, August 22, 2008 (450) Rooms -Saturday, August 23, 2008 (450) Rooms -Non Smoking - Two double beds, king, or queen NOTE: If necessary, we will consider splitting sleeping rooms between more than one hotel. Conference Room: Saturday, August 23, 2008 -Shall accommodate (900) attendees -Required: Lavalier and Podium -Required: Sound Mixer -Required: Projector Screen -Required: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Food and Beverage: Breakfast: Saturday, August 23, 2008 -Continental Breakfast: Include list of proposed menu items with quote -Approximately (900) people -Set-up in Conference Room buffet style Mid Morning Snack: Saturday, August 23, 2008 -Include list of proposed snack items with quote -Approximately (900) people -Set-up in Conference Room Lunch: Saturday, August 23, 2008 -Buffet: Include list of proposed menu items with quote -Approximately (900) meals -Set-up in Conference Room Mid Afternoon Snack: Saturday, August 23, 2008 -Include list of proposed snack items with quote -Approximately (900) people -Set-up in Conference Room Parking -Approximately 450 Vehicles -Dates: 22-24 August 2008 OTHER -Include all applicable gratuities and taxes with quote APPLICABLE PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES: The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference. The following clauses within 252.212-7001 apply to this solicitation and any resultant contract: (a) FAR 52.203-3 Gratuities; (b) DFARS 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests; (c) DFARS 252.247-7023 Transportation of Supplies by Sea. EVALUATION FACTORS: The contract type for this procurement will be fixed price and award will be made on the basis of best value to the government, price and other factors considered. Selection will be based on the following evaluation factors, in order of importance: (1) offerors capability to provide quality accommodations that meet the Governments needs; (2) past performance, caliber of offerors performance on previous contracts of a similar nature; and (3) total cost or price. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In accordance with FAR 52.212-1(k), prospective awardees shall be registered and active in the CCR database prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on registration at www.ccr.gov. Provide detailed quote to include all applicable taxes and gratuities NLT 2:00 P.M. MDT on July 28, 2008.
