- Description
- The project consists of annual maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channels of Ventura Harbor and placement of the material either on the beach or in the nearshore. Amount of dredge material available annually is approximately 600,000 cubic yards. The proposed contract will be for a base year period, plus two option year periods, 3 year cycles total if exercised. The acquisition method is UNRESTRICTED sealed bidding procurement. The resultant contract will contain the "Continuing Contracts" Clause. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Bids are due not later than 26 August 2008/1:00 pm PST. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. It is anticipated the award date will take place, prior to 30 September 2008. Subcontracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when the award amount exceeds $1,000,000.00. If the successful bidder is a large business, they will be required to submit a subcontracting plan upon request. The Los Angeles District subcontracting goals are specific percentages of the contractor’s total planned subcontract amount. The goals are as follows: 70.0% with small business, 6.2% with small disadvantaged business, 7.0% with women owned small business, 9.8% with HUBZone small business, 3.0 with Veteran-Owned Small Business and 0.9% with Service-Disabled Veteran-owned small business. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the Provisions of Public Law 95-507. ALL OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. SOLICITATION ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS: The above referenced Solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) (www.fbo.gov). The solicitation will be available for download approximately 25 July 2008. Viewing/downloading documents from FBO will require prior registration in 1) Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to obtain a CAGE code and in 2) FBO prior to accessing the solicitation documents.
