- This is a notice by the Contracting Command at Fort Polk, Louisiana to issue an invitation for bid (IFB), with the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment, facilities and materials to perform all work incidental to the recharging, repairing, and hydrostatic testing of CO2 and dry chemical fire extinguisher. The service will include sustaining equipment in an operational status, restoring it to a serviceable condition in accordance with NFPA Codes and replacing any fire extinguisher up to standard. The proposed contract will have a twelve month base period and (4) four twelve month option periods from 1 October 08 through 30 September 2012. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Code (NACIS) for this acquisition is 561990, SIC code is 7389 and Business Size Standard of $6.5M. This IFB will be issued on or about date of 24 July 2008. A copy of the IFB can be accessed via the Fort Polk Directorate of Contracting website: http://www.jrtc-polk.army.mil/doc and Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). Telephone or faxed quotes will not be honored. All questions must be in writing. Prospective Offerors must: 1) Be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and submit their Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE code). 2) Have the capability to submit payment requests using the following electronic form: Wide Area Workflow-Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA). Information regarding WAWF-RA is available on the Internet at https://wawf.eb.mil. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract.
