- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Beta Analytic, Inc. in Miami, FL for sample preparation, radiocarbon dating, and isotope analyses to be conducted on numerous sediment core samples for the USGS National Center Reston, VA between 10/01/2008 and 09/30/2009. Four option years are to be included in this order. Beta Analytic, Inc. is the only known source for this requirement because, they are the only known source for radiocarbon dating that has a 30 day maximum processing time, that has radiocarbon analysts available for further clarification on sample handling, weekly international calibration, and operates with a staff dedicated only to the processing of samples. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
