Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is being conducted using the procedures in FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3ZT898172A002; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26; Defense DCN 20080513; Air Force AFAC 2008-0605. This acquisition will be unrestricted; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335313. The business size standard is 750 Employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 5925. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3613. This request for quotation consists of the following items on an all or none basis: Item 0001: 19 Ea. Circuit Breaker, GE Magneblast vacuum (or equal), 5kV, 1200A, replacement ANSI C37.06 rated as follows: Maximum volatage: 4.76 kV RMS Voltage range factor: 1.00 Continuous current: 1200 Amps Short circuit current @ Max kV: 36 kA, RMS Interrupting time: 5 cycles Close & Latch capability: 97 kA, peak Item 0002: 10 Ea. Circuit Breaker, GE Magneblast Vacuum (or equal), 5kV, 2000A, replacement ANSI C37.06 rated as follows: Maximum voltage: 4.76 kV RMS Voltage range factor: 1.00 Continuous current: 1200 Amps Short circuit current @ Max kV: 36 kA, RMS Interrupting time: 5 cycles Close & Latch capability: 97 kA, peak ***NOTE*** Additional information is listed below to support line items 1 & 2: a.) Vacuum type circuit breaker to directly replace existing GE type AM-4.16-250-3, 1200A air magnetic circuit breakers. Proposed circuit breakers shall fit the GE Switchgear cubicle and be permissible by GE as a suitable replacement for these breakers. b.) Old breakers will be available and shipped to vendor if required to duplicate/verify mechanical dimensions and electrical controls c.) The following questions have been answered by the customer: 1. Can you provide serial numbers from the existing units? These numbers will allow us to match the new units exactly to the old ones. Answer: Here's some serial numbers randomly selected from the inventory list of both the 1200A & 2000A MV breakers. a) 1200A Frame: 1) 137A1400-5 2) 288A3147-002 b) 2000A Frame: 1) 121A4891-47 2) 127A4895-43 In addition, two circuit breakers will be available at our facility or can be shipped to the vendor/manufacturer if necessary to ensure precise duplication of controls and dimensions. 2. Will you accept refurbished circuit breakers? Answer: No 3. Can you send pictures of the circuit breakers? Including the name plate and the rear of the breaker? Reason being is pictures will show us any information we need to know to provide the exact replacement. Answer: The pictures are attached. We are awaiting shipment of sample breakers here at Travis from overseas for vendors/suppliers to examine if needed.
