- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is 70181-8-Q061 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-26) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This is a small business set-aside procurement under NAICS classification code, 423810, and PSC code, 3695. The small business size standard is 500 employees. LINE ITEMS: (All items are brand name or equal)1. ASV-RC100, posi-rubber track loader---The skid steer must have 80-100 hp with a processing head that can mulch trees (up to 6") and down dead fuels. The equipment must have a high flow hydraulic and operator protection for forestry work. This must meet the OSHA standard for roll-over protection. This machine must also be low on ground pressure, heavy duty reinforced and armored, and have an enclosed cab so no flying debris or dust can enter the operator's station. $_______________ 2. Forestry Protection Package---Includes heavy-duty door, hood guarding, roof guarding, air conditioning and heater, side windows, roof panel, sound insulation package, manual quick attach and engine coolant temperature gauge. Operator's cab must be protected by " thick Lexan. $_______________ 3. Masticator Head---74" Fecon Bull Hog Head. Head must be capable of treating around 3 acres a day in heavy regeneration. $_______________ 4. 84" Quick attach Dozer Blade $_______________ 5. Shipping to Cheney, WA $_______________ The date and place of delivery and acceptance shall be November 30, 2008 to Tumbull National Wildlife Refuge at 26010 South Smith, Cheney, WA 99004-9326. Such description is intended to provide an example of the quality and characteristics the Government deems satisfactory to fulfill this requirement. Unless the bidder/offeror clearly indicates in its bid or proposal that it is offering an "equal" product, the bid/offer will be assumed to offer the brand name product referenced in this solicitation.(c)(1) Bidders/offerors may offer "equal" products (including products of the brand name manufacturer other than the one described by brand name) if such products are clearly identified in the bids or proposals.
