- Headquarters, US Army Sustainment Command (ASC) has a requirement for the fabrication and delivery of various plastic parts which will be used for the M82 Launched Grenade. The production requirements for the plastic components are approximately 10,000-50,000 per year at a minimum rate of 4,000-6,000 per month. The design consists of a molded nylon, glass filled based cylindrical plastic main body, end cap, set back pin plug, and burster. Production requirements also include sustainment rates for the next five years. First article samples will need to be produced for government evaluation and approval. ASC intends to issue a Request for Proposal, W52P1J-08-R-3025 to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website, http://acquisition.army.mil on or about August 4, 2008 with an opening date 30 days after issuance. This contract will be restricted as a small business set-aside, NAICS code 326199 with a small business classification size of 500 employees or less. It is FOB Destination to Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff Arkansas. Drawings for this technical data are Distribution X and available to only those firms certified registered with the US/Canada Joint Certification Program. For information on becoming certified, see www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. Restricted technical data will not be forwarded to a contractor who has not been certified. A copy of the Certified DD Form 2345 is required to be submitted in order to receive the drawings. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR). If you are not registered in CCR, you cannot be awarded a DOD Contract. You may register via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Interested firms are invited to submit proposals after the solicitation is posted to the web. It will be the responsibility of the contractors to check these websites for the issuance and any changes to the solicitation.
