- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to UNICOR. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for office furniture in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations. Acquisition of Commercial Items. The award will go to UNICOR Federal Prison Industries. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact that the furniture needs to match existing furniture already in the facilities, thus establishing commonality among furniture system within the offices. The USPFO for Maine intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
