- The Veterans Administration has a requirement for laundry equipment at the VA Medical Center, Vancouver, WA. The VA is seeking potential sources for a government acquisition to provide: (1) Single-Stage Extractor Tunnel Washer Press, (2) 120 Pound Drying and Conditioner Tumblers, (1) 60 Pound Washer Extractor, (1) Flatwork Ironing System, (2) Sets of Training Materials and Videos. The solicitation will be unrestricted, and the VA may award multiple contracts from this solicitation. The applicable NAICS code is 333312. The size of the award is between $500,000.00 and $1 million. Award will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Offer(s). The VA feels that a site visit is essential to understanding the project. Drawings are available for the project. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED, open to both large and small business. RFP No. M6-Q1-08-A will be available on or about July 17, 2008. Solicitation documents and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available and no written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Offers will be due on August 29, 2008 at 2:00 A.M. CST and must be hand-carried or mailed to: National Acquisition Center (049A2-3a), National Contracts Division, P.O. Box 76, Building 37, 1st Avenue, One block North of 22nd Street, Hines, IL 60141, ATTN: Tony Crumpton. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in FAR 52.204-7. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. CCR must be obtained before award can be made. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
